Gender Imbalance in the Entrepreneurship World

The Wall Street Journal presented statistics this week about the gender imbalance among entrepreneurs. As it is Wall Street Journal reporting, “the world” in this case means the US economy, but the numbers are anyway interesting to take a look at.

For all the progress women have made in launching startup companies and driving the economy forward, they face strong obstacles that slows their progress—as the WSS reports was documented in a recent US Senate committee report that shows how far women lag behind men in areas like access to capital.
